par PEACE AREA RIDING FOR THE DISABLED SOCIETY
The Fund Ride & Community Carnival is a fun, activity filled day for individuals, families, business groups and organizations who want to make a difference in their community by supporting the riders of Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society (PARDS).
You can also participate by offering a pledge even if you can't participate in the day. All pledges received in support of the Fund Ride but not allocated to a specific participant will be held in our Therapeutic Rider Sponsorship account which is accessible to any rider experiencing a financial barrier to participation.
The Fund Ride is for horseback enthusiasts, bikers and hikers of all ages. Participants collect pledges prior to the event and turn them in the day of before embarking on the trail of their choice (horse, hike or bike).
The Community Carnival is open to everyone, you do not have to collect pledges or go on a trail to participate in the day. Funds are raised at the carnival through selling game and activity coupons, ice cream treat sales and pony rides.
The day starts with a pancake breakfast at 9am. Registration for the Ride begins at 10am. Supper served at 5pm. As well, we will be hosting a Community Carnival, which is open to the general public from 11:00am to 3:00pm, with games, face painting, wagon rides and of course great food, making this a community event for the whole family to enjoy!
