Celebrate National Physiotherapy Month by helping advance our incredible profession!
The Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada (PFC) is Canada’s only registered charity dedicated to funding physiotherapy research. One of the many examples of the research that PFC supports is led by Dr. Caitlin McArthur and her team at McMaster University. Being a recipient of PFC's 2018 Ontario Physiotherapy Association Kim Wolny Research Grant, Dr. McArthur is testing a technology called ABLE - Arts-Based exercise enabling LongEvity. After receiving home care physiotherapy, older adults may stop exercising because they are unmotivated and may not know how to exercise, or even know how often they should be exercising. From a shoe sensor, ABLE produces art and music in response to the wearer’s movement.
Imagine seeing research advance to great new strengths and solutions and thinking, “My donation helped make that happen”.
*Be sure to donate in the month of May so that your donation can be DOUBLED by the CPA! Donations will be matched up to $5,000 raised.*
Thank you very much for your generosity. Let's raise $13,000 for physiotherapy research together! #physioresearch
