The Red Scarf Project; Spreading HIV awareness and stopping the stigma.
By making a pledge today, a red scarf will go to someone who is in need of a little extra warmth. Every Scarf worn shows solidarity and support for those living with HIV/AIDS.
The Red Scarf Project brings Canadians together in an ongoing effort to increase awareness, and stop the stigma, surrounding HIV/AIDS. Founded in 2012 by Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC), The Red Scarf Project brings the powerful symbol of the red ribbon to life . Every scarf is handmade by community volunteers, and each one is tagged with an important message aimed at increasing HIV prevention and reducing stigma.
During AIDS Awareness Week (AAW) and leading up to World AIDS Day on December 1st, all donated red scarves are distributed throughout local communities. Since the Projects inception, over 5,000 scarves have been donated and distributed locally in London and Surrounding area.
For each donation made, a red scarf will be donated to someone in need. All donations will directly support Regional HIV/AIDS Connection's free programs and services. Do twice the good with your donation today!
The Red Scarf Benefit Concert kicks of AAW on November 24, 2017 at London Music Hall. This year, our featured musical group is The Trews, one of Canada's most successful rock bands with 17 Top 10 Rock radio singles and 2 Gold-certified albums.
