À propos de cet organisme

The Saskatchewan SPCA is a registered charity working to promote the humane treatment of animals through education and prevention programs. We promote empathy, compassion, and respect for all living animals. As the provincial voice on animal welfare, Saskatchewan SPCA is working in cooperation with our stakeholders to make a real and lasting difference in the welfare of companion animals and livestock in Saskatchewan. We are working with our stakeholders to create a new certification and registration program for animal rescue groups in Saskatchewan. We are working with human service agencies and animal welfare organizations in order to help raise awareness of the link between interpersonal violence and animal abuse. Our Animal Welfare Conference — open to the public — offers a chance to learn more about the care of animals and current animal welfare issues. Our Stryker K-9 Care Fund helps with the veterinary costs for retired police dogs.
