Give a Hoot for Hospice & Bursary in Memory of Carley Anne Caldwell

A team of local citizens invite you to pick up a brush, join hundreds of painters in Port Perry, for a record-setting fundraiser on Sunday, June 23, 2019.  Give a Hoot for Hospice will see as many as five hundred amateur painters putting paint to canvas to raise money for the Oakridges Hospice of Durham and to create a bursary in memory of Carley Anne Caldwell.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun and it’s going to make a big impact,” said Steve Caldwell, who is organizing the event in honour of his late daughter Carley Anne Caldwell.  Carley passed away from cancer in February 2017.  “She was a talented chef but she also loved painting,” he said.

The event is geared to enthusiastic painters age 8 and older.  Paint, brush, canvas and all instruction will be provided. Local artist and META4 Gallery co-owner Birgitta MacLeod will lead everyone step by step.  No painting experience is required. You’ll go home with a charming and colourful painting of an owl.  Carley loved owls.

The registration fee is only $20 and it pays for the kit each participating painter will need. You must buy this ticket to become a "team captain" to participate. You are a one-person team who gathers sponsors. We encourage you to gather at least $100 in sponsorships to help us meet our goal of $50,000 in one afternoon.
