Founded in 1978, T.E.A.D. is a charitable organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding instruction to people with physical and cognitive/communication disabilities.
Operating on a 92-acre horse farm in Mount Hope, Ontario, T.E.A.D. has a group of highly-skilled, nationally certified riding instructors; a network of more than 250 volunteers; a small, skilled and dedicated staff and a very active volunteer Board of Directors.
T.E.A.D. is a fully accredited therapeutic riding, training and examination facility and operates under the Safety and Operational Guidelines of both CanTRA (Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association) and OnTRA (Ontario Therapeutic Riding Association).
More than 300 riders pass through T.E.A.D. each year, and the waiting list for new participants continues to grow.
