On Sunday September 24th, 2017, over 300 people from the Thames Valley District School Board will meet at Stoneybrook Public School to run/walk together in support of TVEF’s Caring Fund. The walk/run will be 5K in length and will encourage high school teams, administrators and families to participate. Clarke Road’s hospitality program will provide food for the event, while students from Lucas Secondary School and Medway Secondary School will organize post-event activities.

Every day, students attend school hungry, without proper clothing, or without school supplies and other basic necessities. At the Thames Valley District School Board we see students who are dealing with unimaginable circumstances in their home lives that tragically affect their learning and ultimately, their future. The Caring Fund works to ensure that help is always close-at-hand for students with urgent needs by providing food, clothing, schools supplies and other basic necessities to make sure students can continue focus on their education - even during a crisis.
