The Concordia Foundation and the Concordia family of care and services are pleased to announce that the 2018 Gift of Health Gala will take place on Friday, April 20th, 2018 at the Club Regent Event Centre.
Every year, the Gift of Health Gala raises awareness and support for the critical programs and services that Concordia Hospital provides. This year’s Gala occurs within two important milestones: Concordia Hospital’s 90th anniversary of providing health and hope to the community and Concordia Foundation’s 35th Anniversary of preserving the high quality of health and wellness services provided by the Concordia Family of Services.
This year, along with providing continual care, our fundraising priority is the completion of our 5 Comfort Care Rooms. These rooms offer patients and their families the opportunity to be together and celebrate life during a loved one’s final days.
We have one room remaining thanks to the generous donations of our board and corporate sponsors. Funds raised at the Gala this year will help build our final room. Our goal for this event is to finalize the Comfort Care campaign and build the fifth room with your help.
We are proud to deliver these programs and services with your support… as we approach our first 90 years and plan for the needs of our community for years into the future.
Please contact me at 204.661.7326 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or comments.
We are pleased to announce that the Kothari Group and Crocus Gardens will be the presenting sponsor again this year. Thank you to our Foundation board member, Anupam Kothari for this generous sponsorship.
We also want to thank Westjet for their donation of two round-trip tickets anywhere that the airline flies as our signature auction item.
We have an exciting evening planned under the leadership of the Gala Chair, Regan Archambault and her committee. Food, glamour, fellowship, networking and entertainment as well as some great prizes and raffle items.
And great music will be provided by Zane Zalis and Miles Mac Jazz Band. We are so pleased to welcome Zane as our guest artist who is a composer / producer / educator and the founder of the Music Production program, Mighty Mac Studio, and Prodigy at Miles Macdonell Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He has composed / arranged extensively and produced numerous works for the students of MMC. Professionally, Zane has created / produced music for or with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Opera Canada Symphony, CBC (television / radio), Rainbow Stage, national / international recording & performing artists across Canada and in Europe. As a composer Zane was invited to New York to become a member of the prestigious BMI Musical Theatre Workshops. His symphonic contemporary oratorio – i believe – has been performed to sell out audiences in Winnipeg (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra), Toronto (Roy Thomson Hall), Stuttgart, Germany (Solitude-Chor / Sinfonieorchester der Universitat Hohenheim), Murau (Austria), and New York (Lincoln Centre) and excerpted as a guest presenter in Jerusalem at Yad Vashem.
