How the funds raised will provide earthquake relief: The Italy Earthquake Relief Fund (TIERF), started by Canadian volunteers to aid victims in Italy devastated by earthquakes in 2016-17, will be built to provide continuing support to emergency needs, and more permanent and ongoing support.
How to Participate in Walk for Italian Earthquake Victims: Sign up. E-mail, text, or phone your friends, family, co-workers and neighbours and encourage them to sponsor you providing the link to donate (tierf.org/donate). A receipt for income tax purposes will be issued for contributions of $20.00 or more.
Here’s the amounts you need to raise to qualify for the walk:
- Adults must have a minimum contribution of $250.00
- Seniors and students under 18 must have a minimum contribution of $50.00
- For groups of three or more, the first walker must have a $250.00 contribution and each additional walker a minimum of $100.00 contribution

At Registration in the Montecassino Hotel, confirm your on-line sponsorship, or, present your sponsorship forms and payments. Put on your Walk T-shirt.
Enjoy refreshments at Registration before you start the walk. Two refreshment stops on the walk course will ensure your hydration. Look for the volunteers in safety vest fluorescents to guide you along the way. When you return to Montecassino, enjoy a refreshing beverage and bask in your success.
You will receive a certificate of completion for the walk. If you raise $1,000 or more, you will receive a plaque.
N.B. Dress for the weather - layers are best- and wear comfortable walking shoes.
