This might be the best afternoon of your life.
Build a car (boy scout style),  race your car, bet on your favourite car and win raffle tickets for amazing prizes!
Teams will join together to design 3 cars to race against other teams. Want to 'soup up' your car? There will be light woodworking tools, painting and styling equipment, and the option to strategically add *weight.
All cars will go through a time trial and the fastest cars will move onto the finals.  Purchase raffle tickets and bet on cars.

Race raffle bets will be awarded as:

1st place - your raffle tickets double

2nd place - keep your raffle tickets

3rd place - lose your raffle tickets (but you can always buy more!)

At the end of the races, the team with the fastest car will win the coveted WCK Car Derby Trophy and people will have the opportunity to place their raffle tickets on some of our great prizes.  Prizes include Sofas and chairs from Article and $200 gift cards for Article. A HUGE thank you to Article for your sponsorship of this event.

Snack will be provided. We previously had this as an adults only event but have decided to allow children to attend. The Wise Hall bar will be open at 5:00pm for those who want to stick around.

Children 12 and under are free but will have to partner with their parent's team/car.

*Weight must be added in the form of toonies only.  All toonies added to the car will be donated to WCK.  Participants are free to bring their own toonies or can purchase them at the event.

THANK YOU to ARTICLE for sponsorship if this event.

West Coast Kids Cancer Foundation exists to create joy, community and exceptional experiences for kids and families tackling childhood cancer and blood disorders. Through our programs: Kids facing cancer and blood disorders will experience joy. Siblings will know they matter. Parents will know they are not alone. This coming summer, WCK will run its inaugural Day Camp program in Surrey and Vancouver. Day Camp program has been developed specifically for kids receiving cancer/blood disorder treatment. It gives them the opportunity to play all day and get cozy in their own beds each night. This summer we aim to serve 150 children living with and beyond cancer/blood disorders and their siblings, age 6 - 12.
