Lunenburg Heritage House Tour - Circa 1867

The Lunenburg Heritage Society House Tours are a local institution!  Over the years we have showcased a wide variety of heritage homes, businesses and industrial buildings – including even the odd modern take on Lunenburg heritage architecture.  All House Tour proceeds go directly towards the society's work to preserve and promote Lunenburg’s cultural and natural heritage, including the operation and maintenance of the Knaut-Rhuland House Museum and Heritage Bandstand.

This year, in celebration of Canada 150, we will be featuring homes built pre-Confederation.

This will provide insight into what Lunenburg looked like 150 years ago, reinforcing our community's commitment to preservation, and showcasing the evolution of built heritage over time.

Volunteers will greet you outside each of the homes and, along with the map in your Tour Passport, can help you with directions and walking routes. As you are deciding on your comfortable footwear for the day, please keep in mind that you will be asked to remove your footwear in some of the homes.

Advance tickets available at:
Shop on the Corner - Lunenburg
Kinburn Pharmasave - Mahone Bay
Fancy Pants Cafe - Bridgewater
The Box of Delights Bookshop - Wolfville

Please note: advance tickets are available for purchase until June 9 in most locations (online ceases at noon).

Four of the homes, the Knaut-Rhuland House Museum, and the churches are all within a few blocks of Lunenburg Town Hall and traveling by foot is encouraged as parking is limited in this part of town.
