For more than a century, BGC Ottawa (formerly the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa) has been opening doors of opportunity for children and youth across our city. Every year, we welcome thousands of young people into our Clubhouses, offering free, inclusive and life-changing programs that help them learn, lead and grow.

With Clubhouses located in neighbourhoods that need us most, BGC Ottawa provides safe spaces and meaningful mentorship during critical after-school, evening and weekend hours. Our programs are built around four key pillars that empower young people to reach their full potential.

Education – Building confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Physical Activity & Healthy Living – Promoting active lifestyles, teamwork and well-being.

Leadership & Social Skills – Fostering resilience, responsibility and community connection.

Creative Arts – Inspiring self-expression and imagination through art, music and performance.

Through these programs, and at Camp Smitty – our incredible overnight summer camp – we help kids discover their strengths, explore new opportunities and create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
