ABOUT US:
Aboriginal Counseling Services Association of Alberta (ACSA), is a Registered Charitable Organization that has been providing support services to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities since 1992.
VISION:
Healthy, strong and vital Indigenous families and communities honoring the mind, body, spirit and emotions.
MISSION:
To provide safe new pathways to healing and wellness that will strengthen Indigenous families and communities.
PHILOSOPHY:
Services provided by the ACSA team are grounded in the belief that growth and healing can take place when individuals, families and communities honor the Spirit, Emotional, Physical and Mental aspects of self.
ACSA PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:
- Circle of Safety Program: Family violence counseling and support for men, women and children
- Supporting Children’s Resilience: A 20-week program for children with Children’s Services involvement
- Holding Our Anger Bundle for Indigenous Women: A 12-week program for women to understand and begin to heal the roots of their anger
- Additional supports available for current and former clients and their families
