Akiing Onji translates to "from the land" in the Ojibwe language, also referred to as Anishinaabemowin.
The foundation is firmly grounded in ancestral wisdom and the principles of beautiful Mother Earth. We are committed to advancing in Truth & Reconciliation through collaborating on the revitalization of Indigenous languages, culture, arts, and history through inclusive land-based education, aiming for the common good of future generations.
The Akiing Onji Foundation Inc. is an Indigenous-led charitable organization founded by EJ Fontaine & Eva Wilson Fontaine. Together, they aspire to foster a brighter future not only for Indigenous communities but for all.
