About the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre

The Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre (ACLRC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing civil liberties and human rights across Alberta. We believe that everyone deserves to live in a community that values equality, dignity, and freedom.

Through independent research, we shine a light on emerging issues that affect rights and freedoms in Alberta. Through public education, we empower students, community groups, and the general public with the knowledge and tools they need to understand, protect, and exercise their rights.
