Our Mission

To alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and other Dementias.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF WINDSOR AND ESSEX COUNTY (ASWE)

ASWE provides education, support, and direct quality care programs for families throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Programs such as:

First Link A direct referral program connecting individuals and families affected by dementia to learning, community services, and support.

Education ASWE provides education and support, in an individual, family, or group setting.

Support Services Caregivers receive vital support through our eight support groups.  

Day Away Program  Provides meaningful and appropriate activities for persons with dementia. This brings socialization and stimulation opportunities for those with the disease, as well as relief for caregivers.

In-Home Respite Program Provides one on one care services to persons with dementia in the comfort of their own home, while providing the caregiver time for themselves.
