The BGC Yukon (BGCY) is dedicated to facilitating positive developmental programming for children, youth and families. Along with Territorial support services and communities we support all Yukoners to evolve into healthy, confident and connected individuals.

BGCY works to achieve this mandate through our mission of providing a safe supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. BGCY’s positive developmental asset building programs for children, youth and families focus on core internal and external Assets of the 40 Developmental Asset Model. Our program planning, development and implementation specifically include the Internal Assets of Positive Values, Social Competencies, Commitment to Learning and Positive Identity and the External Assets of Boundaries & Expectations and Empowerment. 2. 43,725 meals served to children, youth and their families through the Fresh from Scratch Program
