Our Mission

Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre (BBRT) is an incorporated, professional, non-profit theatre society based in Victoria BC, that provides;

-Significant creative, production and management opportunities to emerging theatre artists wishing to pursue a career in the arts;

-The opportunity for these early career professionals to play or occupy major roles alongside some of Canada's most respected and established theatre artists;

-The people of Victoria its own theatre company that focuses on masterworks drawn from the classical and modern European and North American theatre traditions.

About Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre

History - Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre is Victoria’s newest professional theatre company. Led by veteran artistic director and director Brian Richmond, it was founded in 2008 by some of Victoria’s, BC’s and Canada's most respected and exciting early career theatre artists and educators. What drew these founders together was the shared belief that emerging theatre artists grow best when given the opportunity to work alongside industry leading producers, directors, designers, actors and technicians while encountering the great plays from the past – the ‘classics”.
