ca-r-ma.org-Cat Rescue Maritimes is a registered charity engaged in humanely reducing the population of unwanted free roaming cats & kittens. We operate TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs where colonies of these animals exist & remove adoptable animals..mostly kittens..from the colonies, foster them in private homes, alter them & place them in approved adoptive homes. As resources allow, we assist colony care givers in providing food & shelter for the feral cats in their care. Our future goals include education initiatives to change attitudes on the importance of spay/neutering & working with other animal support groups to bring about legislation for the benefit of all animals. ca-r-ma.org has no paid employees; it is run by entirely by volunteers & funded by donations. There are currently chapters in Antigonish, Amherst, Deer Island, Fredericton, Moncton, Pictou, Riverside-Albert, Sackville, NB, Charlotte County, and Saint John. We are eager to welcome and support new chapters anywhere in the Maritimes.
