Cadboro Bay United Church plays an important role in providing Christian fellowship and witness to the people of Victoria. The Church also has a proud history of giving outreach support to social service programs and agencies, both to the Victoria community directly and more widely through the United Church of Canada.
The CBUC Foundation builds on this commitment to Christian stewardship. Monies from the Foundation are not intended to be used, in the ordinary course, for the regular and ongoing operational requirements of CBUC. Rather, the Foundation’s resources are used on a long-term basis in the following areas:
• Community programs and agencies to which the Church congregation relates;
• Special projects of The United Church of Canada at home and overseas;
• Capital maintenance of, and improvements to, Church property;
• Church debt reduction, if and when required. (CBUC currently does not have any long-term debt.)
