Aperçu

CWRS is hosting their first annual photo contest! Amateur* photographers are encouraged to submit their best untouched photos of native Southern Albertan wildlife in their native habitat (no zoo shots!). There are over 400 species of wild animals that call Calgary home, so native habitat can include yards, parks and other city spaces. No shots of humans interacting with wildlife please!

Photographs will be judged on technical skill, content, overall aesthetic, and ability to capture the essence of the animal being photographed. Winning photographs will be featured on AvenueCalgary.com, displayed at our spring Wildlife Baby Shower and our autumn Gala, featured in our 2019 calendar, and winners will receive prizes!

À propos de cet organisme

Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (CWRS) was established in 1993 to provide professional care for wildlife rehabilitation. Each year we receive over 2400 injured or orphaned wild animals and respond to thousands of wildlife-related calls from the public. In addition, CWRS provides motivational, skill-building experiences for volunteers and valuable outreach and education services to the community. CWRS is a registered charity and does not receive any consistent government funding. CWRS is the only veterinary based wildlife hospital within the City of Calgary.
