Our Mission

Canadian Friends of Herzog Hospital was established to raise awareness and funds to support the work of Herzog Medical Center, located in Jerusalem. Herzog is Israel's foremost centre for Geriatric, Respiratory, Mental Health, and Psychotrauma Care. Its Children's Respiratory Ward is Israel's largest centre for children suffering from severe, and chronic, respiratory ailments. 

A non-profit hospital, Herzog offers the highest standards of medical technology, combined with professional expertise, compassionate care, and outstanding research achievements. Leadership and staff are committed to excellence, ensuring that patient recovery is achieved in the most effective manner. The hospital treats the needs of all who turn to them for care, using advanced technologies and new approaches, while helping patients continue to live with dignity.

Established in 1894, Herzog Hospital is Israel's oldest hospital, and is the third-largest hospital in Jerusalem. It is Israel's foremost centre in geriatrics, respiratory illness, mental health and psychotrauma care. Since its establishment, Herzog Hospital has been well-known for its exceptional treatment of geriatric and psychiatric patients, as well as for the cutting-edge research it produces in the area of geriatric cognitive research.

Since its inception in 1977, the Canadian Friends have one mission: to raise funds in support of Herzog Medical Center.
