The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Halifax-Dartmouth Branch, is a charitable organization that promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience, recovery and well-being of people living with mental illness through the provision of information, resources, referrals in a space that is inclusive, safe and respectful.

About CMHA HALIFAX - DARTMOUTH BRANCH

The Canadian Mental Health Association Halifax-Dartmouth Branch works at the community level and supports the resilience, recovery and well-being of individuals living with mental illness through our social programs: Among Friends Social Club (Dartmouth), Building Bridges, the Sharing & Caring Social Club (Halifax). We run the Mental Health for All Coffee House and other collaborative initiatives.  Our program and initiatives help to create a sense of belonging and build social capital.

CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth also provides information about mental health services in HRM through phone calls and walk-ins into our storefront on Gottingen St.; raises awareness about the need for increased resources for mental health services and individuals living with serious mental illness; and works to create a community that cares about mental illness and mental health.

We strive to create an environment of hope, to reduce stigma, and to promote mental health for all.
