Casa Luz House of Light is a Christian home in Costa Rica for young mothers and their children who come from situations of abuse, extreme poverty, and exploitation. We provide a safe place for them to live, the help they need to heal, and the resources they require to flourish. It is our goal to see these girls and children discover their intrinsic value, realize their full potential, and live lives rich in love and purpose.

A skilled and passionate team of a psychologist, social workers, teachers, guidance and Christian counselors, live-in house mothers, child development workers, administrative support and kitchen staff work diligently to provide the mothers and children of Casa Luz with the love and tools they need to succeed.

The program at Casa Luz is divided into two stages. Stage one accommodates 30 mothers and children and focuses on providing restoration and education. The mothers are given the professional support that they need to heal and are provided with grade school education as well as vocational and parental training. Stage two accommodates up to 40 mothers and children and offers a supported transition into semi-independent living with the goal towards full independence.
