The Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba (CPMB) is an independent non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. CPMB was established in 1974 by a group of individuals with CP and their families. Prior to that parents of children with CP played a major role in the formation of the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities. Volunteers operated the Association until 1986 when a staff person was hired to meet increasing demand. The Association currently employs an Executive Director and a Communications & Marketing Manager / Bike Race Coordinator who manages the Association’s major fundraiser the Stationary Bike Race; as well as an Accountant on contract.
