About the Children's Festival of Saskatchewan
The annual Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan takes place both in-person at Saskatoon's Kinsmen Park as well as virtually on the festival's YouTube channel annually at the beginning of each June. Since the first festival in 1989, the Children's Festival has continually offered the best performing artists for children from across Canada and around the world. Our festival offers not only world-class performing arts, but also solid educational connections and inclusive participatory experiences for children ages 2-12.
As the only international arts-based festival for children in Saskatchewan, we create fun experiences that celebrate the lives of all children, inspiring them to play, learn, understand, and create positive change together. While other festivals may include areas that are family-friendly, we are the only festival that is specifically dedicated to scheduling concerts, performances, activities and workshops specifically for the benefit and entertainment of children. Families come back year after year because they know our programming will provide amazing experiences for their children, and will create lifelong memories. We even see parents who attended the festival as children now bringing their own children because of the amazing memories they created when they were kids.
Our Festival is inclusive of all cultural, ethnic, linguistic and financial backgrounds as well as welcoming all abilities, genders, and sexual orientations.
Play is the real work of childhood! We invite you to bring your children, grandchildren, and students to four days of art, education, friendship, and fun this spring in Kinsmen Park!
