About CHAS
The Children's Hospital Aid Society (CHAS) is Alberta's longest-serving charity.
Founded in 1908, CHAS is a 100% volunteer group of 75 dedicated and passionate women who raise funds to support the health of children in Calgary and area. For over 110 years, the focus on the well being of children has never changed.
Our Impact
CHAS positively impacts the lives of hundreds of children each year. Through the committed effort of our membership, we have raised more than $3 million over the past five years. Operating on low-to-no overhead, our volunteer organization has an average of 3% administrative costs a portion of which is covered by annual membership dues.

We diligently research and evaluate requests for funds from community organizations and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
We react quickly when emergency funding is needed.
We have a long history and a lot of experience at what we do.
