Our Mission

We are a group of people on a family mission, bringing heaven to earth, producing transformed lives leading to transformed nations.

We use the term family mission because all believers have been given the ministry of reconciliation, meaning to bring people to Jesus so they might become part of the family. Jesus calls us into local families (church congregations) where we learn how to function as a spiritual family and grow together, each of us using our gifts and talents to help one another. We believe we don’t just attend church but we are a family that God has called together and we fight for our relationships because we know when we get out on our own we become much more vulnerable to the enemy

We use the term bringing heaven to earth because Jesus prayed “they will be done on earth as it is in heaven” As the body of Christ we believe we are to represent Jesus the way he operated when one earth – that means going about destroying the works of the enemy and releasing the healing power of God’s love in ways that transform the lives of individuals, just as Jesus did when he encountered people like Zacchaeus.

We use the term producing transformed lives as we lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a process not a destination and it creates an environment for divine relationships to promote growth and wholeness. We empower people to walk in victory, live in love and to share the good news with others."

We use the phrase transformed nations because Jesus said to disciple all nations. We believe that when God’s blessing invades the lives of people in a nation that nations can be transformed for God’s glory

CVC is a wonderfully diverse community of people; single moms with babies, children, teenagers, young single adults, and married couples with growing families, empty nesters and our beloved seniors. Our CVC family is made up of people of different races, different passions, different viewpoints and different ages and yet we are all learning how to do life together as God’s family. We like to say we are a place “for people just like you.”

We believe Jesus didn’t come to bring us a new religion, but rather a new relationship with his Heavenly Father, inviting us to become members of His family. As His family we not only gather to worship and celebrate His goodness on Sunday as the church but we do life together.
