The Constable Gerald Breese Centre for Traumatic Life Losses (CGB Centre) is a registered charity supporting individuals and families impacted by death, brain injury and other catastrophic injuries, abuse, assault, serious illness, sudden or violent death, homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use.
We promote health and resilience through online and community-based education, prevention and public awareness initiatives — particularly regarding brain injury and its intersection with intimate partner violence, mental health, addiction, housing instability, and justice involvement. We provide referrals to trusted supports and engage in system advocacy to strengthen cross-sector responses. This includes the initiatives of the BC Brain Injury Association (BCBIA), which operates under the CGB Centre umbrella.
Brain injury and traumatic loss are often invisible, misunderstood, and under-recognized — yet their impact ripples across families, communities, and public systems. Your support helps advance prevention, improve awareness, and drive coordinated solutions where they are needed most.
Donations support CGB Centre education, prevention, referral, and advocacy efforts, including BCBIA initiatives. All charitable tax receipts are issued by the Constable Gerald Breese Centre for Traumatic Life Losses.
