East Kootenay Addiction Services Society (EKASS) is a service that provides free and confidential counselling and support to individuals impacted by their own or someone else's addiction. We operate across the Kootenay Region servicing communities from Golden to Fernie to Creston, and all the places in between. We work with Youth (12-24) and Adults (19+) from a harm reduction, harm minimization framework. We meet individuals where they are at and provide them with customized support based on their unique needs. 

We offer:

- 1-1 Counselling (In-person, Virtual, and Telephone)- Groups (In-person, and virtual)- Psychoeducation Presentations- Worksite Specific Trainings- Prevention Activities and Events- Community Well-being Workshops and Presentations

We work collaboratively within our communities and understand that in rural areas we have to be able to adapt and respond as needed. All support is appreciated and goes directly to ensuring we can provide all the services needed to as many people as possible.
