Mission Statement

Egale Canada's mission is to improve the lives of Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and intersex (2SLGBTQI) people in Canada and to enhance the global response to 2SLGBTQI issues.

Egale will achieve this by informing public policy, inspiring cultural change, and promoting human rights and inclusion through research, education, awareness and legal advocacy.

For over 35 years, Egale has been working to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQI individuals across Canada, and to enhance the global response to 2SLGBTQI issues. We are Canada's leading national 2SLGBTQI human rights organization, working to improve and support the lives of 2SLGBTQI people through research, education, awareness, and legal advocacy - our REAL approach to inclusion.

Our work helps create societies and systems that reflect the universal truth that all persons are equal and none is other.
