EMMEDIA is a non-profit artist-run organization that supports the production, exhibition/presentation, and education/development of media arts.
We respond to the needs of a broad arts community by offering affordable access to media art production tools, facilities, and services; an array of production programs and residencies; a year round schedule of public exhibition/presentation programs; and technical and educational support.
PRODUCTION ACCESS
To preserve and promote the development of, and excellence in, the media arts industry in Canada, EMMEDIA makes available to artists the specialized tools or facilities needed to practice their craft, where such tools and facilities are otherwise difficult to access or unavailable.
EXHIBITION/PRESENTATION
EMMEDIA advances the public’s appreciation of the arts by providing a public arts centre for the exhibition or presentation of visual arts productions or installations.
EDUCATION/DEVELOPMENT
EMMEDIA advances education/development the field of visual arts by providing courses, instructional seminars, and workshops to teach media arts in digital video, audio and multimedia to artists and members of the public.
