Our agency is committed to helping those living with epilepsy and their families in York Region.
OUR HISTORY
We are a non-profit community agency. Founded in 1988, we support all individuals and families living with epilepsy across York Region with our dedicated and passionate work.
MISSION STATEMENT
Epilepsy York Region is a charitable organization that:

Advocates on behalf of individuals with seizure disorders, promotes public awareness of epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Develops programs based upon the needs of our constituents, and provides educational resources and opportunities.
CHAPTER OBJECTIVES

To provide an organization to which all members of the community interested in epilepsy. Our attention is especially focused on those with epilepsy.

To establish effective social service programs of assistance to individuals living with epilepsy.

To refer persons living with epilepsy to other community services as appropriate and advantageous the individual concerned

To develop special projects to advance and promote the health and well-being of individuals with epilepsy

To encourage, supervise, and conduct programs and disseminate information about epilepsy for the continuing education of the public and professional

To encourage the timely use of recognized medical scientific means for the effective diagnosis, treatment, and control of epilepsy.

To cooperate with and assist other individuals and organizations whose objective and purpose are compatible with those of Epilepsy York Region

To raise funds with which to finance the other objectives of the Chapter
