FaithWorks is a discipleship ministry and our key mission is in caring for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of older seniors in our communities. We do this by bringing worship services, Bible studies, and hymn sings into retirement and long-term care residences.

Seniors tell us that their greatest challenge is loneliness, so we developed an outreach called, A Moment of Your Time, visiting with seniors who have few to no visitors regularly. Some of the seniors say the anticipation of the visit itself fills their hearts with joy!

This year, to encourage more socialization for those living in retirement homes, we plan outings for seniors to get together with friends in other retirement homes at a coffee shop. We arrange and pay for transportation, and treat everyone to beverages and snacks. Seniors are enjoying the outings, saying things like, "it is so nice to get out and visit in a different setting," or "this is just what I needed, a change in scenery."
