About Fireweed Collective Society

Serving the community since 1994, Fireweed Collective Society Provides safety, shelter and emergency crisis support to Women and Children impacted by violence and abuse by delivering various supportive and accessible programs to empower Women and Children during their time of healing and to help reduce the impact of gender-based violence.

We recognize how profound the impact of violence is on the lives of the women and children we serve, and we are committed to helping them rebuild their lives and break free from the cycle of violence. Our goal is to help families create a safe and successful future beyond our programs.

Programs Include:

Transition House for women and children leaving violence in their relationships

Supportive Recovery Program available to assist and support women fleeing violence with their sobriety

Second Stage Housing Program for women and their children who have left a transition house

Stopping the Violence (STV) counselling for women who have experienced violence in their relationships, sexual assault, or childhood abuse

Outreach Program supports women with transportation, advocacy and accompaniment to important appointments. The worker also connects women with resources outside of the community.
