The Foundation for Leadership, Imagination and Place (FLIP) is activating the transformative power of art to create social change.

Social inequity in the arts is longstanding, and arts for social change is chronically under-resourced in Canada - yet has profound transformative power. Emergent leaders continue to face barriers in their work - from their knowledge, metrics, and methods of change-making being undervalued to continuous barriers accessing the capital and resourcing they need. This is leading to burnout and isolation for everyone involved.

This is where the Foundation for Leadership, Imagination and Place (FLIP) writes a new story. For those who dare to imagine a new world, we assert that the opportunity lies in connecting, nourishing and amplifying emergent leadership rooted in community. 

We are FLIPping systems to mobilize a more just economy - which means co-creating care and recognition, access to financial resources, social capital skill-building, and reciprocal networks - with and for equity-deserving emergent art leaders.
