Fostering Communication develops and provides professional workshops for families and caregivers in vulnerable communities. Fostering Communication believes that by building up the skills and knowledge of adults in order to support and nurture children, the overall impact on a child’s life will be lasting.

We accomplish this through creating and providing quality, evidence-based training opportunities with specific partnerships. Our main focus of support is within First Nation communities where funding for education and training is limited. Our workshops incorporate traditional indigenous teachings and target topics such as language, literacy, cognitive development, and social relationships. We work together with daycare centres, schools, and families based on the identified areas of need in collaboration with the communities we serve.
