A non-profit organization providing volunteer programs and services to the terminally-ill, family caregivers and bereaved.
Palliative care focuses on enhancing quality of life for individuals and families facing a life-limiting or terminal illness. The emphasis is on comfort, dignity, and support—guided by each person’s wishes and the needs of those who care for them.
Hospice care is provided within Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, B.C., offering a compassionate and supportive environment for those in the final weeks of life who are unable, or choose not, to remain at home. While care is delivered in a hospital setting, the focus remains on dignity, comfort, and respect for each individual.
In our close-knit rural community, where many people know one another, connection and care are deeply valued. We are witnessing a growing need for end-of-life support as more neighbours and loved ones face the challenges of aging and loss. These experiences often touch many in our community in personal ways. We are here to provide compassionate, respectful support, ensuring that individuals and families feel cared for and supported during these tender times.
Since 1995, we have been a non-profit organization serving communities from Agassiz to Hope and Boston Bar. We provide volunteer support programs, complementary therapies, and comfort services to individuals living with life-limiting illness, as well as to their families and those who are grieving.
Our work extends into hospice beds at Fraser Canyon Hospital and throughout the community. With a person-centered approach, our trained volunteers offer compassionate presence and practical support to individuals and families, both directly and indirectly, throughout their journey.
All our programs are offered free of charge, ensuring that support is available to anyone who needs it, regardless of circumstance.
Our services include:
- Palliative Support – compassionate care for individuals in hospice
- Family Support – guidance and care for those supporting a loved one or experiencing loss
