The Freeport Food Bank serves the people of Westport, Freeport, Central Grove, Tiverton, East Ferry, Tiddville, Whale Cove and Little River.

Once a month a box of fresh healthy and locally purchased food is discretely delivered to those who need it.

In addition to the delivery the citizen gets a short welfare check and investigations will be made for any social programs for that they are eligible or assistance that they may need.

The ultimate goal of the food bank is for the citizen to no longer need the assistance of a food bank.

The Food Bank also provides wood for heating on an emergency basis and is assisting the applications, for those whose income is below the Federal Low Income cut off, to get their teeth fixed.

The only expense for the food bank program is food. It costs approximately $2000.00 a month to buy the food boxes. It is very difficult to come up with this money month in and month out.

We are asking for a monthly ongoing donation so that the food bank can become sustainable. 

The food bank reflects our values and community.

All money raised will be spent directly on food.
