Friends of the Nelson Library is dedicated to supporting our Library through fundraising activities, such as our Used Book and Puzzle Sales and our new and popular "Burger and Beverage" Trivia evenings.
The monies raised help the Library enrich their collections in all areas, including updates to equipment that Library patrons use, such as furniture for the Young Adult area, and new, easily-accessible book carts in the Children's area.
Over the years, we have been able to support projects for which the Library applies for grants, such as Teens & Tech - programming to help 13-18 year-olds with coding, video editing, digital arts, and animation; the addition of 10 public-use laptops to offer digital literacy skills; murals in the Children's area; and improvements to the Seniors' Collection and the Seniors' Outreach Programs.
