Fifteen acres of historic trees, flowering shrubs and colorful flower beds, the century-old Summerland Ornamental Gardens are run by the non-profit charity Friends of the Gardens Society. The Gardens are situated on the land of the Summerland Research and Development Centre in the South Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. Although Agriculture Agri-Food Canada offers in-kind support, the funding of two gardeners, replacement plants and other expenses depends on twice-yearly plant sales, memberships and donations.

Visitors to the Gardens can relax in the serene beauty, play on the expansive lawns, or learn about Xeriscape (low-water) gardening and caring for native bees, birds and butterflies.
