The Society was formed to support the sustainability and growth of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (UCHV)
The Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society (FOUVS) was incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act in 1984. The Society was formed to provide strong and visionary leadership for the sustainability and growth of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (UCHV) so future generations can enjoy and appreciate Ukrainian culture and history of the Ukrainian settlers. The Society endeavors to provide programs that encourage communities and individuals to participate in the programs and activities which are offered at the UCHV site. Visitors are able to interact with interpreters and learn about the early life of Ukrainian Pioneers. Cultural programs are an integral part of the UCHV. Mission Policy:To provide strong and visionary leadership for the sustainability and growth of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village so future generations can enjoy an authentic pioneer experience. Vision Policy: A Society that supports the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in realizing its full potential as a world renowned living history museum.
