Friendship Ministries helps empower churches and organizations around the world to share God’s love with people who have intellectual disability, by providing resources and curricula that celebrate the gifts of all God’s people, and that nurture faith formation, belonging, and community. Our ministry is international, inter-denominational, and designed to enable all people, regardless of ability or disability, to become active members of God’s family.  

What we believe.  

1. Everyone is created in God’s image and deserving of love and justice, both in our society and in our churches. People who have intellectual disability must have the opportunity to know and experience God’s love.
2. Redemption is a free gift to all. It does not depend on a certain level of intelligence.
3. The church is complete only when it includes all of God’s children, and when all people are seen as equals in God’s eyes and our own.

Our Mission

is to provide resources that support faith formation and congregational inclusion with individuals with intellectual disability.

Our Vision

is people with and without intellectual disability growing deeper in their relationship with God and with each other in community together.
