Since our start as a grassroots group in 2007, HanVoice has grown from three law students at York University into an international charity with staff in Toronto, New York, and Seoul. We are focused on strengthening Canada’s role in the Korean Peninsula and advancing human rights in North Korea through refugee resettlement, human rights education, and policy development and advocacy.

Today, we have five full-time staff, over 300 student volunteers at 17 university chapters across the country, and over 5,000 members across Canada. Globally, we chair an international advocacy coalition of 25 civil society partners, representing over 300 organizations across 100 countries, all working together to strengthen multilateral action on this issue.
