The Hebrew Culture Organization of Canada is  affiliated with the Canadian Zionist Federation. HCOC's mission is to provide education programs and activities to promote Zionism  to all Canadians. Education seminars, public forums, ulpan sessions, and annual celebrations are all part of the activities sponsored by HCOC.

One of the main projects of the HCOC is the CZF/ Kronitz Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship established in memory of Dr. Leon Aryeh Kronitz, has offered support to over one thousand students since its inception

The Scholarship was created to encourage and assist young Canadian Jews who wish to study in Israel in a long term program (minimum of one year) The expectation is that these young adults will return to Canada and provide service to the Canadian Jewish community. The scholarship is directed towards high school graduates, university students or graduate students pursuing post secondary studies in Israel.
