Lil Faider, a long time Board member of Jewish Family Service Calgary, is a model of interfaith understanding and cooperation. Her generosity and tireless devotion to service has strengthened the bonds of humanity through faith, philanthropy and religious literacy.

Jewish Family Service Calgary is honoured to recognize and celebrate Lil Faider at our Annual Fundraiser. With your support, we can continue to work together to strengthen our community.

"You Don't Have to be Jewish" a flashback to 60’s Jewish comedy, featuring Arnold Dvorkin, Joy Feldman, Albert Fialkow and Linda Gutman. Arnold Dvorkin is a very talented opera singer who has performed around the globe appearing in operas with acting chops in theatre such as “Showboat” and “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof” and in local productions such as “The Gin Game”. Linda Gutman & Joy Feldman are local amateur comedians who have appeared doing stand up comedy and as “Yenta and Shmenta” at various community fundraising events. Albert Fialkow is a successful local realtor with a quirky sense of humour and an unexpected flare for acting.

Cantor Russell Jayne - "Cantor Russ has been singing in both religious and secular choirs since he was a child. Before pursuing his career as a Cantor, he attended The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science where he earned both a BS and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree." Read more about Cantor Russell Jayne

JFSC is an accredited, non-denominational, social service agency accessible to people of all faiths and cultures serving the Calgary Community. JFSC has been providing social and counselling services since its incorporation in 1961. With the support of private donors, businesses and our major funders, JFSC collaborates with multiple organizations assisting individuals and families to become more resilient and independent and thereby strengthening our communities. Fundraising proceeds will assist JFSC clients by providing food security and housing support, settlement services, connections for isolated seniors, counselling services, educational programs to communities and schools raising awareness of domestic violence, bullying, sexual abuse and elder abuse.
