L'Arche Cape Breton is a community centred around people with intellectual disabilities, our Core Members.  We are based in beautiful, tranquil rural Cape Breton Island.  While we receive support from the provincial government for our homes, we do not receive any support for our engaging Day Programs and vibrant community life.  We operate eight Day Programs including an organic garden, an art studio, two used clothing stores, a cafe, a retirement program, a recreational program and a summer camp for children with intellectual disabilities.  We fundraise to ensure our Core Members have stimulating days and full lives.  Our mission is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities revealed through mutually transforming relationships.
