For 36 years, Live Art has been recognized as Atlantic Canada’s premier dance presenter! We present thrilling, contemporary, movement-based art in Halifax at an affordable price. We are committed to furthering both Canada’s role in the world of dance as well as developing Halifax’s artistic scene. We also strive to ensure that these world-renowned productions remain accessible to all.

Live Art Dance seeks to:

• Promote the voice of contemporary dance artists with a curatorial perspective in a local context;
• Contribute to the overall artistic, social and economic infrastructure for dance artists;
• Present a broad spectrum of works within the contemporary dance continuum.
