CMHA-YT is a volunteer organization that endeavours to promote and improve the mental health of all Yukoners.
In order to carry out its vision to be an effective contributor to the positive mental health environment throughout the Yukon,CMHA-YT strives to focus on community education, awareness, advocacy and support services, to enhance public awareness about the factors contributing towards good mental health, to reduce the community stigma toward mental illness and to increase positive attitudes towards mental health. CMHA-YT engages in partnerships and collaborative activities with other agencies and organizations concerned with mental wellness.
CMHA-YT delivers both educational programming and CBT group programming as well as offering short term and drop in counselling, a support group for family and friends caring for someone with a mental illness, meditation groups and youth anti-stigma events.
