As our signature fundraising event, the NECHA Advocacy Breakfast has raised over $100,000 for our programs over the past five years. The event has hosted a spectacular line up of speakers like Stephen Lewis, Andre Picard, Donna May, and Marci Ien. The 2018 Advocacy Breakfast was the most successful in its five-year history with more than 300 influential attendees. In 2019, we look forward to building on this tremendous success and engaging even more business and community members in the important work of supporting those who face barriers to accessing services, be they health, housing, or food.

À propos de cet organisme

The North End Community Health Centre is a hub for those living in the North End of Halifax, Nova Scotia since 1971. We provide collaborative, multi-disciplinary primary health services to meet the needs of those who often face barriers to access. We support health and well-being in our community through quality primary health care, education and advocacy in an environment in which people are treated with respect and dignity and there is equitable access to services and programs. Beyond the physical clinic, NECHC strives to address various aspects of the social determinants of health through our dental clinic, Mobile Outreach Street Health (MOSH), Housing First and regular programming including our cooking classes, Good Food Boxes and recently opened Community Pantry for Kids.
